Saturday is a Rugby Day and August 8th is no exception

Last Week
None of the Nomads teams played last weekend because of the Civic Long Weekend; however, we played out hearts out at our club-wide touch night. Last Thursday, alumni, juniors, senior men and senior women came out to Oakwood for a fun evening of touch rugby. The Russell sisters came out to show the boys how to properly play some rugby. (Somewhat) unsurprisingly, team yellow led by Kelly Russell won the evening.
Next Week
The women and the men both have away games this weekend. The women are heading to Oshawa to play their first round of the playoffs. They currently stand 4th in the Western division, and winning this game will move them forwards to a second playoff game.
The Men’s XV 1sts, 2nds and 3rds are heading to Ajax for the day.
You could, theoretically, go cheer on the women for their 12:00 p.m. K/O, and then jet over to Ajax to support the 2nds at 1:30 p.m.; the 1sts will follow at 3:00 p.m.
If you aren’t strapping on your boots this weekend, we hope to see you cheering on the sidelines!
