Do you remember when Saturdays where all about rugby? The car pools, the sunburns, the wins, the loses, the intense friendships, the beer. Maybe too much beer?

Nomads has had so many strong players come through our women’s program over the past three decades. Every one of you has helped us build the program into what it has become: Last year the Nomads Women were OWL finalists. Today, we’re fielding two teams with an average of 40 players showing up to trainings.

We want to THANK OUR ALUMNI for getting us here. We know we’re standing on the shoulders of giants. Bad ass giants.

We would love for our alumni to join us on Saturday, June 24 to celebrate 30 years of women’s rugby!

RSVP to the 30th Celebrations

We’re asking everyone to RSVP by June 1. We’re trying to organize 30th swag as well as food and beverages, so need a budget to work with. As usual, the club is far from flush, but we make do. We hope you understand!

What to expect on June 24?

The day will start with rugby games at Eglinton Flats followed by a party at Hemingway’s. You’re welcome to join at any stage in the day, but we’re asking for confirmations  for Hemo’s as we need a headcount to organize the reservation, order merch, and buy refreshments.

Itinerary:

11:00 am — 2XV Game (Eglinton Flats)

12:30 pm — 1XV Game (Eglinton Flats)

2:30 pm — Alumni Touch Game (Eglinton Flats)

4:00 pm — Women’s Alumni Celebration (Hemmingway’s)

8:00 pm — Event opens up to whole Nomads Club, who are invited to join the festivities

You only need to purchase tickets if you’re joining for the Hemingway’s portion of the celebration. Ticket prices include: Sideline beers for rugby viewing, 30th Anniversary Swag Bag, a donation to Rugby vs. Cancer in the name of Nomads Women’s Rugby, and pints and bites at Hemingway’s. Student tickets available for those who require a lower barrier to entry/are not keen on 30th swag.
