Tomy De la Vega joins Toronto Nomads Rugby
Nomads Rugby is delighted to announce current Toronto Arrows and former Argentina player Tomás (Tomy) De la Vega has joined Nomads Rugby as a junior coach. Tomy is currently assisting coaches J.P. and Stuart Mackenzie with Nomads’ junior boys’ teams.
From Buenos Aires, Tomy’s home club is Club Universitario de Buenos Airies (CUBA), Tomy has earned 12 international caps for Argentina, and played in 2 Junior RWC with Pumitas and over 50 games in total for Argentina XVs. In addition. Tomy captained the Buenos Aries regional team to three successive victories in Argentina’s national provincial championship. Off the rugby field Tomy studied to be, and is now qualified as, a lawyer.
In 2020 Tomy joined the Toronto Arrows and recently re-signed for 2021.
Of joining Nomads, Tomy said,

It is not every day that a player of Tomy’s calibre, experience and passion for the game, its values and culture joins Nomads.
