Nomads’ excited to announce new men’s Head Coach
Toronto Nomads Rugby is pleased to announce the appointment of Michael Owen as its Senior Men’s Head Coach for 2020, Nomads 70th anniversary season.
Michael comes to us from Swansea, Wales. His most recent employment was as a rugby development officer for the Welsh Rugby Union (WRU), specialist skills coach with Elite Pathways and player-coach with Maesteg Harlequins RFC.
As a coach Michael has a strong theoretical foundation including a UK national diploma in Sport (Development, Coaching & Fitness), World Rugby Level 2 and a level three NVQ in Achieving Excellence in Sport.
Michael’s rugby career began at age five and has featured stops at Ospreys, Saracens and Bristol academies as a young player, semi-professional playing roles in England and Wales and a range of coaching roles.
