<![CDATA[Our grass roots rugby section has done amazing things this season. Our U10s and U8s ended the season on a real high with a great day of flag rugby, under glorious conditions, at the Rugby Ontario Mini Festival held at our own home pitch, Fletcher’s Fields on Saturday, August 27th. This followed on from a packed season with festivals hosted over the summer by Toronto City, Barrie, Georgian Bay Titans, Oakville Crusaders, Brantford Harlequins, Fergus Highlands and Guelph Red Coats.

Our mini section has grown so much this year! We have a squad of 36 players now and its been so exciting to watch them grow their love for the game and their ability.

The minis have one more festival hosted by Balmy Beach on Saturday, September 24th so come and show your support.

The player of the year award is going to be a close call this year with so many excellent contenders. The award goes to the player who is an example of all to follow: regularly trains, always tried their hardest and lives the Nomad’s values. We will have to wait and see at the End of Season Banquet.

I would like to use this newsletter to thank our volunteers. First and foremost, our team of coaches for turning up, week in week out, rain or shine to promote minis rugby. They are Brent, Mike, Erez, Ian and Anne. Thank you.
