Junior Training Begins Now Because Better Never Stops

<![CDATA[JUNIOR TRAINING KICKS OFF SATURDAY JANUARY 7, 5:00 p.m. at LAMPORT STADIUM. Training runs to 6:30 p.m.

We have an excellent multi-week program designed for each age group by our Technical Director, Campbell MacNeill. It will introduce and refine the core skills needed at age stage of player development and set all players up for the summer. And, above all it will be fun. After all, its Rugby – what’s better than that?

We are really hoping to see all our age groups there. It’s great to see the 6-year-olds running around with beaming smiles at the same time as the u18s, who are mastering mauling on the other side of the pitch. Rugby really is a game for all ages!

We will be having guest coaches coming down over the course of the winter to impart their wisdom to both Nomads players and coaches. Currently confirmed are:

  • Andrew Hall – Canada Maple Leafs Head sevens coach and RO sevens coach
  • Tyler Legatt – Canadian Legends player and owner of Upright Rugby
  • Tom MacLeod – Head Coach, Trent University and former Nomads TD.
  • Stand by for more being announced….

So, come down and blow off the cobwebs, and bring a few friends. This is a great environment to introduce them to the game. Plus, the first couple of weeks are free for newcomers as a trial!

Go Nomads! Better Never stops.
