Recently back from playing on the wing for the Ontario Blues on their tour to South America, Hammond featured at centre in a close loss to the Americans.

Canada has a chance to make amends on Saturday night when the two teams play again.

The games are warm-up matches for the IRB’s Junior World Rugby Trophy competition, which will be held in Salt Lake City, Utah, starting June 18.
