Four wins from five at Fletcher's

Nomads men’s 1st team at Fletcher’s, August 13, 2011

The Nomads senior teams took three of four league games at the Square on Saturday.

The women got things rolling with a 37-5 win over the Mississauga Blues. The men’s seconds then got into the act coming from behind to beat the Belleville Bulldogs seconds 26-14.

In the final match of the day, the men’s 1st team managed to come from behind to lead the final 20 minutes and were just able to hold on to beat a very good Bulldogs 1st team 20-19.

In fact, the day started off a with a very convincing win by the Nomads under-16s over their counterparts from the Saracens in the morning.

The men’s 3rds were the only blemish on the day losing 35-17 to a very effective Bay Street Pigs 2nd team.
