Starting with the under-14s at 9:00am, the Nomads men’s teams had a very good day out at Fletcher’s, Saturday, Jul 9, 2011.
At 9:00am, the under-14s won two out of three games agains the Crusaders. Meanwhile the under-12s were also playing the Crusaders but away in Oakville. They too won two out of three games.
The under-16s won their match against Crusaders, kicking off at 10:30am. Then on the same field the men’s 3rds played another friendly against Muddy York, where rugby was the the winner.
The Nomads men’s 2nds follow at 1:30pm against the Saracens 2nds, with the 1sts from both clubs playing at 3:00pm. Both Nomads sides were victorious and the social in the pub after with Saracens was one of the best yet at Fletcher’s this year.
The women were in tough against the Crusders losing the 1st team game by a very close score.
Training continues on Tuesday at Oakwood at 6:00pm for both the senior men and women. U16s and U18s back it on Monday night with the U14s at Eglinton Flats Tuesday.
Next week, Jul 16, the women and men’s 3rds are away to Balmy Beach while the men’s 1sts & 2nds and the junior boys are again at Fletcher’s. The U14s start the day against the Irish, the U16s host the Dragons and the senior men host the Saxons. Next Saturday will also be the men’s Rookie Night, so be prepared to be dazzled!
