Nomads Rugby believes Club rugby is the foundation of all rugby and the foundation must be solid and effective for Canadian rugby to prosper. We also believe that involvement in rugby and membership of a rugby club provides life-skills and other benefits to children, youth and adults alike.

Nomads’ No-Player-Left-Behind Fund  - Sport4Ontario Project  #145

This Fund’s goal  is to ensure that deserving young people are able to participate in the unique experience rugby, particularly Nomads Rugby provides. 

Nomads Rugby is committed to providing financial assistance to players who otherwise would be unable to pay their membership fees, experience rugby’s unique culture and enjoy Nomads Rugby club life.

Nomads Endowment Fund

An endowment fund is one in which donations are held in an interest bearing investment for perpetuity and only the interest or part thereof is spent. An endowed gift is often called a "gift that never stops giving" and rightfully so.

Nomads Rugby Operations Annual Fund - Sport4Ontario Project  #144

Our Annual Fund targets raising $30,000 to supplement funding for the club's annual operating costs (including facilities, uniforms, equipment, referees, coaching, coach development, referee development, athletic therapists, supplies, etc...).

Vehicles

Nomads strives to continually improve its teams’ performance and results, the quality of its programs and its reach to elementary, middle and high schools. To do need to find and attract experienced, high quality professional coaches, often from overseas.

To effectively serve the many club and school teams our professional coaches coach they need their own dedicated vehicle. At present the Club possesses one “Nomadsmobile” (pictured). The vehicle was kindly donated by the parents of a junior player and subsequently wrapped in Nomads images and branding. It is an easily identified, moving or stationary, billboard that promotes Nomads Rugby 24 hours a day.

Going forward, we need at least one, preferably two, more Nomadsmobiles. If you are about to replace a vehicle that is in reasonable condition and probably has at least 100,000 kms life left in it, please consider donating in to the Club.

Accommodation

Whenever a coach or player from overseas arrives in Toronto to join Nomads Rugby we want to welcome them and do whatever we can to make them feel comfortable here.

Helping them to quickly find accommodation is a priority.

Jobs

The other priority for coaches or players arriving from overseas, and in some cases, locals also is finding a job.

Ideally the Nomads Rugby community can help find jobs for coaches and players.

To enable Nomads’ donors to receive charitable donation tax receipts, Nomads Rugby has partnered with Sport4Ontario, the Ontario branch of The National Sports Trust Fund, a registered Canadian Amateur Athletic Association (RCAAA). As a RCAAA the National Sport Trust Fund is able to issue an official tax receipt for all qualifying donations of $20 or greater.

Please note Sport4Ontario charges approximately 4% to use its service so the net donation received by the Club will be slightly less than the total donation.
